Does anyone know what this mystery item is?  Thought to be possibly a warbird or other veteran aircraft part during restoration.

One of our customers would like to identify it.

Can anyone help finding a flap indicator from the Lancaster Pilot's Instrument Panel?

One of our clients is building a front centre section and simultaneously restoring all navigation equipment of the Lancaster. They were able to fire up the complete system recently.

Lancaster Flap Indicator

Lancaster Flap Indicator

It has taken about two years to do so and it is working very well and by turning around the test elaboration (which is on wheels) they can see the Air Position Indicator and the DR Compass repeater react in the proper way. Also the Variation Setting Corrector is incorporated in the system and works properly.

Only the Ground Position Indicator has yet to be connected, it also has been restored completely, which was a hell of a job to do.

If anyone is able to help to find a flap indicator from the Lancaster Pilot's Instrument Panel then please get in touch using the Contact page.

I hope you managed to catch my interview on www.warbirdradio.com yesterday.  We had a good chat on the whole subject of manufacturers technical drawings and plans for World War II aircraft and other Warbirds.

I have just heard that one of my clients has a large number of WWII  instruments and switches together with filters, pressure switches, bomb door gearboxes, generators and actuators etc.

So if you know anyone looking for instruments and switches for this generation of World War II aircraft for restoration please don't hesitate to contact me and I will pass on the request and let you know if he has the part.
